THEORY: After the events of Sonic Colors. Eggman was stuck in space so he come up with an idea to created a Robot/Monster hybrid thing named "Time Eater." During the past in Green Hill Zone as Classic Sonic. Time Eater appears to take over the place and other levels from past Sonic games. 20 years later Sonic's friends celebrates his birthday until something strange is happening... Time Eater appears and kidnapped Sonic's friends. So it's up to Sonic to rescue his friends. After the Classic era Classic and Modern Sonic met each other so they have to team up to fight
